Welcome to HubL Norwich

HubL is an independent hub which helps asylum seekers, refugees and migrants access the most appropriate English classes for them.

We offer face-to-face English (ESOL) language assessments, which take place regularly at community hubs and libraries in Norwich.

HubL assessments are free for everyone, regardless of income or immigration status.

How HubL Helps You

100% free English assessments
HubL assessments are completely free & open to everyone, regardless of income level or
immigration status.

They provide an initial indication of your reading, writing, speaking & listening levels of English.
Individual course advice & support
After completing your assessment, we’ll show you the courses most suited to your level of English and personal circumstances.

There are a range of providers available, depending on what you wish to get out of the course – the choice is yours!
Accessible to all levels of English
Our professional assessors will welcome and support those of all different levels of English.

Whether you already know some English, or have no understanding at all – we are here to support you in finding the right class for you.
Empowering you to live confidently
Improving your English comprehension can be a vital step towards getting a job, making new friends and integrating within your community.

We want to help you thrive in Norwich, and feel confident to move forward in life.

How HubL Works

From taking the first step and booking your assessment, all the way through to finding the right course for you, HubL is here to support you.

Fill out our short booking form, available in a wide range of languages. If you can’t make it to one of our regular sessions, let us know via the form and we’ll be in touch to make alternative arrangements.

Attend your booked assessment time, where we’ll assess your initial level of English. Assessments take around an hour.

After you’ve attended your assessment, we’ll email you a certificate of your ESOL level. This is accepted by providers across Norwich.

We’ll show you the courses most suited to your level of English and personal circumstances, and you choose which course you want to enrol on.
