Welcome to HubL
English Language Assessments & Advice
HubL is an independent hub which helps asylum seekers, refugees and migrants access the most appropriate English classes for them.
We offer face-to-face English (ESOL) language assessments, which take place regularly at libraries in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
HubL assessments are free for everyone, regardless of income or immigration status.
How it works
From taking the first step and booking your assessment, all the way through to finding the right course for you, HubL is here to support you.
1
Book an Assessment
Use our booking page to choose a date and time slot that works for you. If you can’t make it to one of our regular sessions, let us know using the form and we’ll contact you to see if we can make alternative arrangements.
2
Attend your Assessment
Attend your booked assessment time, where we’ll assess your initial level of English. Assessments take around 45 minutes.
3
Receive a certificate of your ESOL level
After you’ve attended your assessment, we’ll email you a certificate of your ESOL English level. This is accepted by English class providers in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
4
Choose an English class or course
We’ll show you the classes and courses most suited to your level of English. There are a range of both formal ESOL English classes, and informal groups and classes run in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
